16 Halloween Events You Can’t Miss this October!

Fall colours, pumpkins and of course a little bit of terror! The haunting season has finally arrived, which means it’s time to get outside and have some fun.  Attractions across the province are decorating and readying in anticipation of your arrival. Whether you are a family with small children, a couple looking to be frightened or a group of friends out for a night of entertainment, the list below has something for everyone. Fun and fright guaranteed.

  1. The Stalking Dead, Peterborough
    Prices:
    $29.95 all players. Minimum of 4 players per group
    Hours: 6pm to 11pm, October 1 to November 7th, 2021
    Daytime Hours: 11am to 4pm – No live zombies or jump scares
    Book: https://stalkingdead.com/night-bookings/The Stalking Dead is a game where players are sent onto ground zero of where a zombie outbreak occurred. The zombie attack began with corn farmers. Scientists were working on the cure at this site when the zombies broke in and the data could not be retrieved. Players are asked to walk to each scientist station and collect the data they were working on to input into the mainframe computer. They must figure out some puzzles along the way while avoiding zombie contact. Live zombies are present during the evening game but not during the daytime game.
  2. Pumpkins After Dark, Milton
    Price: 1–2-person car $39, 3 person car $58, 4 person car $69, 5-7 person car $89, Kids 3 and under free and not included in head count.

  3. Casa Loma – Legends of Horror, Toronto

    Hours: October 1-31, 2021, 5pm – late daily
    Book: https://legendsofhorror.ca/ This October, the grounds of Casa Loma will once again be transformed into an immersive theatrical experience, Legends of Horror. Done in the presentational form considered “promenade theatre”, in which the audience walks at their own pace through a 2 km trail commencing in the lower gardens of Casa Loma and winding its way through the castles tunnels and darkest spaces never before open to the public.
  4. Prowl at the Park – Jungle Cat World, Orono
    Price:
    Tickets are $20.00 per adult, $10.00 per child, $15.00 for students, teens, and seniors. Under the age of 3 is free!
    Hours: October 30th & 31st from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Tours will last for approximately 45 minutes – 1 hour. • • Masks will be required, and costumes highly encouraged! • Limited space is available to ensure we are meeting capacity requirements and guests are recommended to arrive 5-10 minutes earlier than their scheduled tour time. • Our Education Centre will also have some reptiles available to meet and learn about following the tour. • Our van will also be parked and ready to accept food donations for Feed the Need in Durham. Last year, over 100 pounds was donated to families from the event.
