New Fear-Inducing Attractions Debut at Halloween Haunt
Two new horrifying mazes, a gruesome scare zone and a harrowing acrobatic show debut Sept. 30
Vaughan, ON (Sept. 26, 2017) – Canada’s Wonderland will bring your worst fears to life with several new attractions at its 13th annual Halloween Haunt opening Sept. 30, 2017. Canada’s biggest Halloween event features more than 700 monsters and 20 haunted attractions, including nine mazes, six scare zones and three live shows. Halloween Haunt runs select nights until Oct. 31 from 7 p.m. to midnight.
New attractions this year include:
- Blackout: A pitch-black maze twists through a century-old passage under the mountain. Unfinished and abandoned, there’s no telling what you’ll find in the darkness – or if you’ll even escape.
- Forest of Fear: Guests wander between the shadows of the trees and cross into the haunting territory of evil, carnivorous creatures. Try to stay on the narrow and winding path, or else fall victim to the forest and its nighttime monsters and spirits.
- Bloody Buccaneers: An all-new scare zone features the demolished remains of a pirate ship and the evil spirits of the dead crew. They long to punish those who left them to their watery graves, so beware if you dare to step aboard.
- Devil’s Circus: Demons and freaks perform frightening acrobatic feats that include fire high dives, the German Wheel, fiery hoops and more.
“Halloween Haunt is the kind of event that inspires nightmares,” said Norm Pirtovshek, Canada’s Wonderland vice president and general manager. “And with more than 20 haunted attractions and thrilling nighttime rides, our guests get a unique Halloween experience full of excitement and fear when the lights go down at Canada’s Wonderland.” - Halloween Haunt is not recommended for anyone under the age of 13. Most park rides and attractions will be in operation. Guests are not permitted to attend the event in costume.
