Oh Canada Eh? Begins 25th Season
What’s the down side of winning awards or consistently being named one of Niagara’s top attractions?
The accolades are great, exciting and very much appreciated but they also invoke a “tourism” label that can’t begin to capture the spectacle that is Oh Canada Eh?
In truth, this is a must-see for every Canadian (and non-Canadian), who wants to experience a renewed feeling of pride in their unique heritage.
May 17, 1994 marked the first time Canadians celebrated that strong patriotic spirit in a moving yet fun dinner theatre style format.
4,600 shows later, it’s easy to see why Oh Canada Eh? has captured Attraction of the Year seven times at the Niagara Falls Misty Awards, and for the third consecutive year has been nominated for Attractions Ontario’s ‘Ontario Choice Awards’ for TOP PERFORMING ARTS ATTRACTION!
This Thursday, May 17, 2018 marks the official kick-off of the 25th season for Oh Canada Eh?, making it Canada’s longest running dinner theatre show.
These young musical theatre performers are multi-talented; the labels and awards don’t begin to capture the years of experience, practice and training that led them to this show. Nor do they describe the hours of sweat equity, joy and enthusiasm behind the hundreds of hours of rehearsal.
This season, seven new cast members have joined the veteran troupe; all are eager to provide a night of solid fun entertainment, performing trademark classic songs while interacting with the audience. This creates a rare, intimate experience unlike that of any other dinner theatre, and makes it the ideal choice for celebrating birthdays and anniversaries.
The same fabulous family style feast keeps fans coming back to the rustic log cabin, including unlimited French Canadian style pea soup, fresh haddock, and featuring many other delicious sides, finishing with a decadent maple chocolate cake.
The show’s clean content makes it suitable for all family members, and the Lundy’s Lane venue can accommodate large groups for corporate or student events.
Until the end of May, OCE is offering Ah-May-zing original pricing from when it all began 25 years ago. Tickets start at $34.95 for dinner and show (not including tax and processing fee).
