Theatre Collingwood was officially incorporated in 1984. The company became renowned for producing large scale musicals during the boom period of the 1980’s, but was drawn down by the recessionary pressures of the times and suspended production for a period of time. Steven Thomas was Artistic Director from 1997-2012 and brought to Theatre Collingwood his talent and vision, producing a range of Canadian and international literature. In 2013 Executive Director Erica Angus was brought on board to transition the company into a presenting company. Her expertise has driven the company in to what it is today, a strong company presenting some of Canada’s most talented performers while fostering great relationships with artists and other regional theatre companies.
