Harbourfront Centre’s Learn to Skate 2016/17 season is here
Get ready, Toronto! It’s time to lace up and hit the ice, as Harbourfront Centre’s Learn to Skate program returns, from November 2016 – February 2017. Learn to Skate offers numerous classes tailored to suit skaters of all ages and skill levels, from Kinderskate to Adult Intermediate.
Classes take place outdoors against the beautiful backdrop of Lake Ontario on the Natrel Rink, Toronto’s most scenic skating rink. The first session starts November 22 (weather permitting) and sessions continue until February 26. Private lessons are available for those wanting a one-on-one approach. Registration is now open and classes fill fast, so register early. Classes cancelled due to extreme weather conditions will be rescheduled.
No skates, no problem! Harbourfront Centre’s Skate Change Room offers equipment for rent including adult (13+) figure skate and hockey skate rentals for $10 and CSA-approved helmets for $5. Group rental discount rates are also available. The Skate Change Room is equipped with coin-operated lockers, heated change rooms and washrooms for students’ convenience and comfort. Unwind after classes with delicious food and satisfying beverages at our new rink side café-bar, Boxcar Social.
“The key to our Learn to Skate program is our small class sizes and dedicated instructors who work tirelessly with students to help them accomplish their skating goals,” says Marah Braye, CEO of Harbourfront Centre. “Whether you have never set foot on a rink or you have been skating for a while but wish to be more confident on the ice, this program will get you the results you are looking for. So, come down and make this the year you learn to skate.”
