A world premiere production by Norm Foster

 

On Tuesday June 15th, 2022, the Port Stanley Festival Theatre is thrilled to be presenting “My Hero”, a world premiere production by Canada’s king of comedy, Norm Foster, starring Susan JohnstonCollins (“The Birds and the Bees”, “Mending Fences”, and “On a First Name Basis”), Reid Janisse (Canadian Comedy Award winner, “Toronto Circus Riot”, multiple mainstage Second City), and Murray Furrow (“Dump Guys”, “Lion King”, “The Drowsy Chaperone”, and “The Midsummer Night’s Dream”), staged managed by Lani Martel, directed by Simon Joynes, with Lighting Design by Karen Crichton, and Set Design by Joshua Quinlan with assistance from Haley Helm. The show runs for a four-week engagement concluding on Saturday July 9th.

“40-year-old Jim Devine has moved back in with his mom … he’s divorced, he’s getting his life back together, it’s taken some time. 5 Years of time! Well, the clock is running out, things are changing, his mom’s dating the gardener, and Jim has his work cut out for him. A story about change, and love, and new beginnings.”
