Port Stanley Festival Theatre – Sunshine Express

The Port Stanley Festival theatre is excited to be staging Sarah Quick’s, “Sunshine Express” as the closing production of its 40^th anniversary summer season. Running from August 22^nd, in our newly renovated Grace Auditorium, “Sunshine Express” enjoys a three-week run with a closing night September 8^th.

Starring  Chris Bancroft (“Bedtime Stories”, “Love Shack”, and “Mini Putt”), Caitlin Driscoll (“Buying the Moose”, “Real Estate”, and “Punch Up”), Scott Maudsley (“Mini Putt”, “The Drawer Boy”, and “Moose on the Loose”), and Danielle Nicole (“Bedtime Stories”, “Sexy Laundry”, “Five Alarm”, and “Perfect Wedding”), “Sunshine Express” is directed by Artistic Director Simon Joynes, and Stage Managed by Laurie Merridew, with Set Design by Eric Bunnell, and Lighting Design by Tony Sclafani.

“For his 40^th birthday, Alan and wife Brenda are inadvertently booked on a “Charlie Cheedle’s Charter” senior’s bus tour, and the fun has just begun. 4 actors play 30 characters in this rollicking tour de force. Lemon smuggling and border crossings, Cracker Barrel breakfast and bingo, happy hour and Walmart … Florida or bust!”

With a varied season, which will appeal to single ticket buyers, subscribers, and tour groups alike, the Port Stanley Festival Theatre provides another season of top quality entertainment in 2018.
